ANZAC Peninsula Route

South-east of Portianos begins a peninsula where it enters the bay of Moudros, turning it into a quiet sheltered harbor. The remains of the ANZAC camps (docks, hospitals, tanks, etc.) can be found on this peninsula, as well as important cemeteries.

In the village of Portianou there are several points of interest concerning the presence of the ANZAC forces in the area. The village adjoined with the peninsula where the ANZAC facilities were located. The most important points of interest are the Vassilikos house at the entrance of the village and the Military cemetery.

A route with several points of interest starts from Moudros, moves north, turns west, passing by the airport and ends in the village of Portianou. Military camps, hospitals and cemeteries of ANZAC allied forces can be found along the route.
